The Certified Forklift Operator is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to load, unload, and move materials and products within warehouses, distribution centers, or manufacturing facilities. This role ensures efficient material handling, adheres to safety guidelines, and supports warehouse or production operations through timely and accurate movement of goods.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, shelves, and storage areas.
- Transport goods to designated areas within the facility.
- Stack and organize pallets in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and deliveries.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including packaging, labeling, and cleaning work areas.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift certification from an accredited training provider is mandatory

- Good communication and time management skills.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or operate equipment for extended periods.
